Of course, when we weren’t doing tours, we were primarily around the pool at the Marriott Aruba Surf Club. It consisted of a couple different pool areas, two hot tubs, and a lazy river. It also had a really nice swim-up bar! This is where we met most of our fellow MVC owners, and they were all so helpful on what to do on the island, where to eat, and when to return. One couple who were about to leave gave us their inner tubes, which we passed on to another couple when we left the resort. It was like one big happy family.

At The Resort Pool

Sitting by the hot tub one morning after a rain shower came through

The lazy river, pool, and swim-up bar were all nice for relaxing, sunning, cooling off, and sightseeing!

The place was filled with iguanas, too, and they came out during the day to sun themselves by the pool. I even saw a 3’ long one do a belly flop into the lazy river from a 15’ tall tree. It scared the heck out of a young woman who was just getting out with her boyfriend.

We never actually stayed on the beach, but we walked along Palm Beach several times, and the sights there were just as interesting as the pool. It was kind of like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue shoot was happening.
