We flew into Orlando the day before our cruise. Mäggi  flew in later that evening. The next morning the girls and Melvin joined us and we drove down to Miami to begin our adventure. This was a brand new ship, and the thing was massive. We had three days at sea, so we became very familiar with all that the ship had to offer. It really was beautiful, and we enjoyed the food, drinks, sports, and entertainment tremendously.

Getting to Know the Getaway

Our 3½ hour drive to Miami was fun, since there were 6 of us in a minivan full of luggage. Still, once we saw the ship, we were excited to begin our adventure.

After getting a bite to eat and settling into our cabins, we went up to Spice H2O, the adult-only pool, where we enjoyed the sail away party and said goodbye to Miami

Two of our cabins were adjacent to each other and the third was down the hall. Our cabin with a rear balcony was the meeting place most of the week and our notes on the door were very helpful.

Despite its size, the ship was easy to maneuver. Exploring it was fun.

As always, warm weather and the pool go hand in hand. We spent a lot of time at Spice H2O, but the main pool was great for watching people, having a cold drink, entering the Sexy Legs contest, or having fun on one of the slides
