We ended up having three days at sea, so we had to find things to keep us occupied. We lay out in the sun, read, played cards, went to the casino, enjoyed the art auctions, and loved the specialty restaurants. Mostly, we just enjoyed the wonderful temperatures that were a good seventy degrees warmer than back at home. |
On the Norwegian Dawn |
Our first handheld camera shot |
Our cabin on the 10th deck |
Our cabin was right off the Grand Atrium elevators, which was very convenient |
There is always lots to do or see by the main pool, including dancing, sunbathing, and a Mr. NCL contest on our last sea day |
Madeline surprised me with decorations and a cake that we ate all week |
I chose the French restaurant for my birthday, with lamb, duck, and a nice beef dish to go with escargot and scallops |
We also ate at the Italian restaurant and steakhouse |
We spent every evening in the Stardust Theatre, watching a comedian, a magician, dancers, singers, and even some of the staff performing |
And of course, there is always the Chocolate Buffet to look forward to, although my cake was just as good! |
Despite the 2000 passengers and 1000 crew, we sometimes felt alone onboard |
We woke up on the last day and were told that our parasailing excursion was canceled due to high winds, but we thought our snorkeling was still okay. Then an hour later, the captain came on the speaker and told us that it was too rough for the tenders to get to Great Stirrup Cay, a small island that NCL owns. Here is a view of what we missed. |
12/6/08—12/13/08 |
We also bought a couple paintings on board during the week. |
