Since we now belong to the Disney Vacation Club, we intend to visit Walt Disney World rather frequently, so I have decided to only show pictures that I feel are either outstandingly beautiful, or that show something different than past trips. Of course, I often like our pictures so I end up not being such a good editor. This trip included a side trip to West Palm Springs. Dana's Spring Break was one week and Alicia's the next, so we did two different trips in one. |
3/18/09-3/26/09—Palm Beach |
Our resort was Marriott Vacation Club's Ocean Pointe, on Singer Island just north of Palm Beach |
The Flagler Museum, which was the winter home of Henry Flagler during the turn of the 20th Century. Flagler got his money with Rockefeller and Standard Oil, and built up the Palm Beach area |
The Palm Beach Zoo had a number of unique and beautiful animals, like the flamingos to the left, the pelicans getting fed far below, the anteater below, and this beautifully colored duck below right |
Butterfly World had two huge butterfly exhibits, where hundreds from all over the world flew around. It also had a lorikeet feeding area, and lots of beautiful flowers |
We paid a brief visit to Ft. Lauderdale to have dinner and check out the beach |
