In October of '99, I went back to Europe. This time I spent a couple of days in Munich, enjoying their fine sausages, architecture, and of course the Hofbräuhaus München. I went with a colleague and we enjoyed the gothic architecture. We then went to Paris for a couple of days, enjoyed their wine and fashion, and went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Oh, and we did manage to get some work done in both cities while we were there.

1999—Munich & Paris

Here is Marienplatz in Munich as seen from the top of the Alterpeter Church. The Glockenspiel sits in the tower and chimes and dances twice a day, which I was able to witness.

(Clockwise from left) The Eiffel tower stands proud. The day was cloudy, but we got a good view of the city from its top. We also went to Hotel de Ville and got a good view of Notre Dame and its main altar.
