Text Box: After a day with my head and my eyes burning on the beach, it was time to head back to the ship. We enjoyed NCL's private island. Text Box: After having experienced Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, we were excited to see what NCL’s was like. It was definitely different than Disney, because it was not nearly as commercialized. It was a relaxing place and in good weather, I’m sure the snorkeling would have been excellent.

Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas
Text Box: We sailed past Great Stirrup Cay during a previous NCL cruise because it was too rough to tender onto the island. That was disappointing, so it was nice that we were able to get on it this time. It was still fairly rough, though, so our kayak tour was canceled and the snorkeling was rather murky in the sandy water. Text Box: Aside from snorkeling, there were other things to do on the island. We took the opportunity to get ready for our softball season that was supposed to begin while we were on vacation (but luckily was rained out). We got hot on our lounge chairs, stayed cool in the water, had an island drink, did some walking, and ate a nice barbeque lunch. Text Box: Back to Cruises
