The last time we were in Roatán, we did a little ziplining with the girls. This time, we took a quick boat ride to a private island and played on the beach. The entire group went, and we saw animals, held a croc, and some went snorkeling. We also talked to a couple of the dancers who went on the same excursion. |

Entering the port |
On our short ride to the island |
The island was incredibly beautiful, with all the flora in vibrant colors against the sea. We walked around the entire island and just kept snapping photos. |
The fauna was rather interesting, too, with the croc that we held and the monkeys in the trees that we got to feed. The island was a sanctuary for a number of wild animals that were rescued. |
Shiela was not so gung-ho on holding that croc, but Marv and Pat certainly loved snorkeling. They said it was one of the best snorkeling areas they’ve ever been on. |
They had a replica of a Mayan ruin. |
“Oh, this is the life!” |
Roatán is just starting to become a popular cruise touring location, so after the island retreat, we went into town and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious mudslide. |
