Lots to do at Disney during the year, and the year started off quickly with visiting guests. It’s so nice to see people so frequently stop into the Orlando area.

 

We began watching plays at Dr. Phillips Center in the city, which brought us back to all of the shows we saw in Chicago theatres for so long.

2017—Miscellaneous Orlando Adventures

Early in the year, Hank and Mary came to visit. We also saw Wicked at Dr. Phillips Center, and Katherine came to visit as well.

In February, we spent a day at the new Festival of the Arts at Epcot.

In May, Dana got Cast Member passes to the Pandora preview at Animal Kingdom.

We got to ride both rides and stroll through the area without the crowds.

We also spent Alicia’s birthday weekend in Tampa, along with their two friends. We stayed at the Hyatt, enjoyed the pool and food, and went to Tarpon Springs.

Holly came to town and spent the day with Madeline. We had a date day at DAK and saw another show at Dr. Phillips Center. We went to Grand Floridian and Epcot for dinner, too.

Backstage Soarin’ Tour meant an empty Epcot

Backstage Spaceship Earth meant friends from work for Madeline. Madeline also went with Alicia & Mel back to Pandora.

The Wine and Dine 10k was fun. Madeline and Dana went to the Christmas party at MK. Madeline and I went to see Brit Floyd at Dr. Phillip’s Center

Madeline and I did Dana’s Yuletide Fantasy tour

Angie and Scott met us in St. Pete and we visited the Chihuly Collection there

We spent New Years Eve at Bay Lake Tower, watching fireworks
