We came here on this trip for one reason: Lillie and Brian’s wedding. We weren’t prepared to go to the Midwest in late March and run into cold weather, but that’s what happened. It was nice to see the rest of the family. It was also fun for me, since it gave me a chance to see and talk to some of my old classmates. While we were in Indy, we saw the Widaus, which would turn out to be the last time we ever saw John. Alicia came up with us and Mel came from Arizona. They hadn’t seen much of each other themselves and it turned out that Myles was born about 9 months later. Hmm.

Greensburg—MAR 2019

We took off from Orlando and landed in Indy. Mel’s flight was later, so we spent some time visiting with the Widaus.

The wedding was at the fairly new St. Mary’s Church, which was absolutely beautiful. My parents were at the signature table outside of the church. There were no photos allowed during the service, but we did a couple before and after.

The reception was in an old factory in Batesville. We enjoyed eating, dancing, and visiting with family. My parents won the contest for the longest married couple in the room.

We spent visiting some more the next day, but then we had to say goodbye to Mel at the Indy airport and fly back home.
