Our last day involved a trip to Pisa, to see its famous leaning tower. We also visited Lucca, a walled city, but the damp weather prevented us from being able to see much there. Overall, though, the weather was quite acceptable.

Yes, the tower really does lean. Of course, so does the church in front of it. The tower is actually the campanile of the cathedral.

After a rainy day in Pisa & Lucca, we woke up to a beautiful blue sky on Saturday... perfect weather for our journey home. Here, the Hotel Berchielli on the Arno River. Madeline and Dana are in our room above the name.
